Position Summary:
The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician is responsible for performing ultrasonic inspections within the aeronautical manufacturing sector following successful completion of a company-sponsored training program leading to COFREND/FrANDTB Level 1 Ultrasonic Testing (UT1) certification. Based at the Dugny office and working primarily on-site at Airbus Helicopters, the technician supports the inspection of composite material components used in next-generation helicopters, ensuring product quality, compliance with client specifications, and flight safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasonic inspections in accordance with client specifications.
- Validate technical reports and inspection qualification documents.
- Ensure internal and external client satisfaction through high-quality inspection services.
- Guarantee the quality and airworthiness of inspected parts to support flight safety.
- Collaborate with NDT technicians and technical experts during inspection activities.
- Apply knowledge gained through theoretical and practical training in daily operations.
- Support inspection activities on composite material parts used in aeronautical applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's-level qualification (Bac +2/3) in one of the following fields:
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Materials Science
- Physical Measurement
- Mechanics
- Aeronautical Maintenance
- Electrotechnology
- Prior professional experience in NDT is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of composites, aircraft structures, quality control, or dimensional inspection is beneficial.
- Proficiency with computer applications and digital tools.
- Intermediate written English skills sufficient to work with client specifications.
Requirements:
- Valid Category B driving license.
- Ability to complete a 400-hour training program in Paris-Le Bourget leading to COFREND/FrANDTB Level 1 Ultrasonic Testing certification.
- Willingness to travel to Toulouse for training and certification activities.
- Ability to work day shifts or a two-shift rotation schedule (2x8).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, autonomous, and proactive approach to work.
- High level of rigor, versatility, and attention to detail.
- Good written communication skills.
