Position Summary:

The NDT/NDE Technician is responsible for performing non-destructive testing and inspection services at various client sites. The role requires applying certified NDT methods, ensuring accurate data interpretation, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality inspection results. The technician is expected to demonstrate professionalism, technical competence, and adherence to industry codes while supporting client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform nondestructive testing using certified methods in accordance with company procedures, client specifications, and applicable codes
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results accurately
  • Supervise and guide NDT Assistants and support personnel during field operations
  • Calibrate and operate NDT equipment and tools safely and effectively
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding job scope and results
  • Maintain detailed records including reports, time sheets, and safety documentation
  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices where applicable
  • Follow company safety standards and site-specific protocols
  • Uphold professionalism, quality standards, and integrity in all operations

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • NDT certifications in one or more methods (RT, MT, PT, UT, VT, etc.)
  • Multiple Level II certifications or equivalent (ASNT/PCN/CGSB preferred)
  • Advanced certifications such as API 510/570/653, CWI, AMPP (preferred)
  • Radiation safety training or radiographer certification (if applicable)
  • Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT software
  • Experience in industrial environments such as refineries, petrochemical plants, pipelines, or fabrication shops (preferred)
  • Industry safety certifications such as TWIC or OSHA 10/30 (preferred)

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, or other site access credentials
  • Ability to provide documentation for Level II qualification per company standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including weekends
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset
