Position Summary:
TEAM, Inc. is seeking a certified and experienced NDT Technician Level II to independently perform inspections using various Non-Destructive Testing methods. The technician will be responsible for detecting corrosion, structural flaws, and other detrimental conditions as outlined in specific technical criteria. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate inspection findings to clients and internal teams. The Level II Technician also supports senior personnel and mentors apprentices on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform NDT inspections in accordance with written procedures and certifications.
- Interpret and report inspection results accurately, maintaining all required documentation.
- Assist Senior Technicians and provide on-the-job training to apprentice-level personnel.
- Maintain safety compliance by adhering to TEAM and client safety standards and industry regulations.
- Promote and uphold TEAM’s Core Values and Seven Critical Choices in all work activities.
- Continue professional development and pursue additional NDT certifications.
- Supervise and guide apprentice team members as needed.
- Operate computerized equipment and ensure proper calibration of instruments.
- Travel to multiple job sites, adapting to different environmental and working conditions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in NDT with certifications in at least two methods.
- Previous Level II certification in at least one method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET) preferred.
- Proficiency in basic math and computer literacy, including Microsoft Word.
- Strong ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 75%.
- Willingness to work with chemicals and in industrial environments while adhering to safety protocols.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, and working at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical understanding of NDT methods and equipment operation.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and focus in high-pressure environments.
- Physical and mental capabilities to perform duties in shop and field environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in team settings and mentoring less experienced staff.
Work Conditions:
- Role may involve both indoor and outdoor work within a refinery, plant, or shop environment.
- Exposure to extreme noise, temperature changes, and elevated platforms is expected.
- Frequent interaction with crew members, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated by safety regulations.
- Must be flexible to travel and work across multiple job sites as necessary.
