Position Summary:
- TÜV Rheinland Sonovation B.V. is seeking an NDT Technician at Level 2 or Level 3 to join its team in Breda, Netherlands. The position is suited to a technically driven professional who enjoys working outside a traditional office environment and is flexible and ready for immediate deployment.
- The NDT Technician will perform advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections across the Benelux and Europe, with occasional assignments outside Europe. Offshore work may also form an integral part of the role. The position involves analyzing inspection data, preparing reports, developing procedures and work instructions based on international NDT standards, managing NDT projects, supporting the sales team with technical expertise, and contributing to the development of new testing techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced Non-Destructive Testing inspections across the Benelux and Europe, with occasional assignments outside Europe.
- Carry out offshore inspection activities where required.
- Analyze inspection data and prepare inspection reports.
- Develop procedures and work instructions based on international NDT standards, according to the technician's level of knowledge and experience.
- Manage NDT projects involving multiple operators.
- Analyze customer challenges and problems and recommend suitable solutions.
- Provide technical advice and NDT expertise to support the sales team.
- Resolve inspection-related problems.
- Manage projects where required.
- Contribute to the development of new testing techniques and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Completed MBO-level technical education.
- Level 2 and Level 3 experience according to ISO 9712 in:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)
- Phased Array (PA)
- Experience with other inspection methods, including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC), and Visual Testing (VT), is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English.
- German language skills are an advantage.
- A valid driving licence.
Requirements:
- Possession of a VOL/VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Flexible and solution-oriented approach.
- Willingness to undertake extensive travel.
- Willingness to stay abroad regularly.
- Preferably residing in the Breda region.
