Position Summary:-
Bilfinger UK is seeking motivated and skilled NDT Technicians to join its growing inspection team. The role involves performing non-destructive testing inspections using techniques including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), and Eddy Current (EC) in both offshore and onshore environments.
Due to the nature of certain inspection scopes, the position requires a minimum IRATA Level 1 Rope Access certification. The technician will be responsible for conducting inspections, evaluating results, preparing reports, and maintaining compliance with applicable safety, quality, codes, standards, and procedures.
Responsibilities:-
- Perform conventional NDT inspections using applicable testing techniques.
- Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
- Carry out safe and effective rope access operations in accordance with the required certification.
- Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports.
- Comply with site-specific safety and quality standards.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior or developing technicians, where applicable.
- Travel to onshore, offshore, and international locations as required.
Qualifications:-
Essential:
- Valid certification in at least some of the following NDT methods:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
- Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
- Eddy Current (EC)
- Minimum UT 3.1/3.2 certification.
- Minimum IRATA Level 1 Rope Access certification.
- Strong understanding of conventional NDT methods.
- Good communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel offshore and internationally.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- PCN certification.
- CSWIP certification.
- Prior offshore inspection experience.
- Experience with inspection software and reporting tools.
