Position Summary:-
Testia, a subsidiary of the Airbus Group, is seeking an NDT Technician for its Lons-le-Saunier location. The position supports the expansion of Testia's non-destructive testing activities, particularly in the field of aerospace manufacturing.
The selected technician will receive theoretical and practical training funded by Testia to obtain Level 2 certifications in Ultrasonic Testing or Magnetic Particle Testing through COFREND/FrANDTB. The technician will work with the Lons-le-Saunier team at the SKF Aerospace site, performing inspections on composite and metallic components used in the latest generations of aircraft.
Working within a close-knit team focused on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development, the technician will have opportunities to develop versatility in additional NDT activities and methods.
Responsibilities:-
- Perform non-destructive testing inspections on manufactured components at customer sites.
- Conduct inspections on composite and metallic aerospace components.
- Prepare inspection reports containing results and acceptance decisions based on specified acceptance criteria.
- Participate in customer and certification audits.
- Support the maintenance of required approvals and certifications.
- Ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Help ensure the quality of airworthy aircraft components and contribute to flight safety.
- Participate in the training of new inspectors in Ultrasonic Testing inspections.
- Support the maintenance and development of the team's technical competencies.
- Work directly with NDT technicians and experts on inspection activities.
- Develop versatility in additional NDT activities and methods according to career development goals and project requirements.
Qualifications:-
A Bac +2/3 qualification in one of the following fields:
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Materials
- Physical Measurements
- Mechanical Engineering
- Aerospace Maintenance
- Electrical Engineering
- Previous professional experience in NDT is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of composites, aircraft structures, quality control, or dimensional inspection is considered an advantage.
- Good proficiency with computer tools.
- Intermediate written English proficiency sufficient for working with customer specifications.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, autonomous, rigorous, versatile, and proactive approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good written communication abilities.
Requirements:-
- A driving license is required.
- The technician must be willing to travel to Toulouse for training and certification.
- Travel within France or internationally may be required by agreement with the technician.
- The position is based in Lons-le-Saunier (39).
- The position is offered on a permanent CDI contract.
- Working hours are either daytime or 2x8 shifts.
- The position is available as soon as possible.
