Position Summary:

Apave is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician for a permanent position (CDI) at NDT, a subsidiary of the Apave Group specializing in non-destructive testing and industrial quality control services. Based at the Chalon branch, the technician will support clients across industries including oil & gas, chemical, nuclear, aerospace, and automotive. Following an onboarding program, the successful candidate will contribute to inspection operations, technical support activities, cost estimation assistance, and product development initiatives while helping clients maintain safe and compliant operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and operate inspection equipment for non-destructive testing activities.
  • Provide technical support to field personnel during inspection operations.
  • Assist the sales team with cost estimation and quotation preparation.
  • Support product development activities.
  • Carry out assigned inspection-related tasks following onboarding and training.
  • Travel to client sites as required to support inspection and technical service activities.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification ranging from a High School Diploma (Bac) to a 3-year post-secondary degree (Bac+3) in a relevant field such as boilermaking, metallurgy, welding, physical measurements, or instrumentation, or equivalent experience as an inspector.
  • Proven experience and successful track record in non-destructive testing (NDT).
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Methodical and diligent approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong commitment to delivering quality results and maintaining positive client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class B driver's license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various client sites.
