Position Summary:

Applus+ is seeking a Level 2 EN4179 Qualified NDT Technician to perform in-service and pre-service inspections on a variety of aerospace and industrial components, including castings, weldments, machined parts, composites, and assemblies. The role ensures compliance with client contracts and Applus UK Ltd’s operating procedures while contributing to the smooth operation of a fast-paced test house environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Level 2 inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiography, Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Penetrant Testing (DPI).
  • Perform fluorescent penetrant inspections on a range of components.
  • Support daily test house operations, including booking work, issuing certificates, and creating delivery notes.
  • Perform control checks on consumables and equipment to maintain standards.
  • Manage goods receipt and dispatch, including packing and handling parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist in training colleagues in additional NDT Level 2 qualifications.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Level 2 EN4179 Ultrasonic Inspection certification (or equivalent, e.g., PCN Aero Level 2).
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with static MPI benches and penetrant lines.
    • Prior experience in a test house or similar environment.
    • Knowledge of additional NDT methods.
    • Valid forklift license.
    • Valid passport.
    • PCN Level 2 General certification.
