Position Summary:
Bilfinger UK is seeking experienced NDT Technicians to join its growing inspection team at Hinkley Point C. This is a long-term, rewarding opportunity where the successful candidates will deliver high-quality NDT services across site operations, supporting the UK’s nuclear new build sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform NDT inspections (volumetric and surface methods) on pipework, tanks/vessels, and structures.
- Interpret and document test findings in line with procedures and industry standards.
- Review colleagues’ reports and results interpretation.
- Complete daily equipment checks and maintain accurate records.
- Adhere strictly to HSEQ policies and conduct risk assessments.
- Mentor and train apprentices.
- Write clear and concise inspection technique sheets.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:
- PCN Level 2 or ISO 9712 equivalent in:
- Radiography (RT)
- Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
- Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
- Experience in new build and construction site weld testing.
Preferred:
- Additional NDT certifications (e.g., PCN ARS, UT, VT).
- Knowledge of IRR 2017 regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
