Position Summary:

IRISNDT is currently hiring Resident NDE Level II Technicians for call-out positions in Taylor, Michigan, specifically in the Detroit, MI area. This is a full-time role with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career development within IRISNDT.

IRISNDT Limited is a leading nationwide provider of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services, with strategically located offices in Immingham, Chatham, Deeside, Derby, Hull, Pembroke Dock, and Stockton-on-Tees. Their diverse range of services include conventional and specialist NDT, a well-equipped Materials Laboratory, Heat Treatment, and Rope Access services, both on-site and in-house. 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute NDT inspections using MT/PT/UTT methods in a call-out capacity.
  • Consideration of PMI/Hardness Testing as an asset.
  • Rope Access certification (SPRAT and/or IRATA) is considered advantageous.
  • Apply expertise in Refinery environments, with prior experience being a plus.
  • Train and mentor NDE assistants.
  • Possess and maintain a valid TWIC card.
  • Undergo pre-access drug and alcohol testing and pre-employment background checks.
  • Meet physical requirements, including the ability to move, carry, and lift objects up to 50 lbs repetitively, walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb. Must remain active throughout shifts, with vision capabilities for close and distance vision.

Qualifications:

  • SNT Level II certification in MT/PT/UTT methods is mandatory.
  • Consideration of PMI/Hardness Testing as an asset.
  • Consideration of current SPRAT and/or IRATA Rope Access certification as an asset.
  • Refinery experience is advantageous.
  • Capability to train NDE assistants.
  • Possession of a valid TWIC card.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • Compliance with pre-employment background checks.
