Job Summary:

We are seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Technician to assist in the setup and utilization of equipment for non-destructive testing of components and materials. You will work with a team to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections, including gamma radiography, x-ray radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing, and visual inspections. You will identify defects in materials using testing techniques, drive company vehicles, and maintain a safe driving record.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup and use of equipment for non-destructive testing of components and materials, following applicable codes, standards, specifications, and procedures.

Assist in performing NDT inspections using various techniques, such as gamma radiography, x-ray radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing, and visual inspections.

Assist in NDT examination techniques, including selecting, preparing, loading, calibrating, or operating equipment used in the non-destructive testing of products or materials.

Assist in identifying defects in materials using testing techniques.

Drive company vehicles and maintain a safe driving record.

Train on experienced tasks and learn new tasks from Lead Technicians.

Follow instructions to ensure the safety of the entire team.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning and minor maintenance duties to maintain company vehicles and equipment, as well as keep shop areas in a clean, orderly, and functional condition.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid driver’s license and insurability through PROtect, LLC. insurance carrier.

Basic mechanical knowledge.

Knowledge of, and willingness to follow, applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Able to work a demanding and flexible schedule, including long periods of time up to 16-hour days and responding to call-outs on short notice.

Able to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds on loose, rough, or uneven terrain and occasionally exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 150 pounds with assistance.

Willingness to work in confined spaces, extreme cold and heat, and near hazards including moving mechanical parts, electrical components, and exposures to chemicals.

Professional appearance and conduct, including dressing appropriately for assignments and maintaining good hygiene.

Strong customer service skills and punctuality.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to follow specific instructions.

Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred
