Position Summary:
ATS is currently accepting resumes for both part-time and full-time NDT Technicians/Inspectors for our NDT Workforce Division. As an NDT Technician/Inspector, you will play a crucial role in conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using two or more methods, such as MT, PT, UTT, UTS, VT, ET, PAUT, and RT. This position involves remote work opportunities across the United States, requiring self-starters who excel in unsupervised settings, prioritize safety and quality, possess leadership skills, and can troubleshoot effectively on the go.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct NDT inspections in two or more methods as a Level II/III technician (MT/PT/UTT/UTS/VT/ET/PAUT/RT).
- Apply expertise to resolve field issues and manufacturing process challenges.
- Provide recommendations based on data analysis using quality tools.
- Safeguard the intellectual property rights of the Company.
- Act as a team lead when required.
- Offer technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced inspectors.
- Set up, conduct tests, and calibrate equipment.
- Work independently and provide support to team members.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports and documents.
- Interface daily with clients to discuss work priorities and projects.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- For NDT Level II Technicians, meet the minimum qualifications per ASNT-TC-1A, including documentation of education, training, and OJT experience in applicable NDT methods.
- Possess a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Successful completion of a drug screen.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be " U.S. Persons" due to the nature of the position, as defined by U.S. export controls.
- Must be able to wear appropriate safety equipment as mandated by the safety department.
- Perform work at heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
- Operate in confined spaces, requiring crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
- Work in and around operating equipment and industrial environments.
- Handle radiation and hazardous materials, such as cleaners, penetrants, film-developing chemicals, etc.
- Be available for extended shifts (up to 12 hours/day) and extended travel periods.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
