Position Summary:

The Sr. Sales Engineer / Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within an assigned territory. The role involves understanding customer requirements, delivering technical solutions in the NDT domain, and ensuring business generation through product demonstrations and strategic sales initiatives. The candidate will also play a key role in managing dealer networks, supporting customers technically, and contributing to overall profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets and ensure timely collections within the assigned territory.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide technically sound solutions for NDT products, enhancing performance and process efficiency.
  • Conduct product demonstrations across various industries including Automotive, Aviation, General Engineering, Forging, Casting & Foundries, and Heavy Fabrication.
  • Manage and guide dealer/distributor sales representatives to ensure optimal product performance at customer sites.
  • Develop and execute strategies for sales, forecasting, pricing, distribution, key account management, and profitability.
  • Perform market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and improve sales performance.
  • Prepare RFQ estimations and sales proposals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer data, mailing lists, and sensitive company information.
  • Coordinate with customers, principals, and dealers for both pre- and post-project activities.
  • Provide technical support and application-based assistance to customers.
  • Develop proof of performance, case studies, trial reports, and other sales collateral.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for value addition through application engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • MBA in Marketing (preferred).

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of sales experience in industrial consumables such as Welding Products, Lubricants, Cutting Tools, Oil & Gas, etc.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools and MS Office.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, network effectively, and establish rapport with customers.
  • Dynamic, assertive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in the regional language of the assigned territory.
  • Strong planning, execution, and team motivation capabilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
