Position Summary
Acuren is seeking an NDT RT 2 Technician to support operations in the Pacific Region, specifically in Prince George and the surrounding area. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environment with significant potential for growth, learning, and career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up radiographic testing equipment, including X-ray or gamma ray sources, detectors, and imaging devices.
- Calibrate equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures to ensure accurate results.
- Verify inspection setup for compliance with safety regulations and industry requirements.
- Perform radiographic inspections on materials and components, including welds, castings, and structural parts, to detect internal flaws or discontinuities.
- Analyze radiographic images to identify and evaluate anomalies, defects, or misalignments.
- Document inspection findings with detailed descriptions of defects and their potential impact.
- Provide recommendations for corrective action, such as repairs or re-testing.
- Maintain clear communication and collaboration with clients, engineers, and team members.
- Follow all quality, safety, and procedural standards to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Support positive client relationships and uphold professional work ethics.
Requirements
- CGSB RT Level 2 Certification.
- CEDO Certification.
- Additional NDT certifications considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage time effectively.
- High technical proficiency with strong attention to safety and quality standards.
- Valid driver’s license.
- IRATA training or willingness to obtain is considered an asset.
- Self-motivated and able to perform effectively at a high technical level.
