NDT Product and Application Engineer

Position Summary:

The NDT Application / Technical Specialist supports sales, technical service, and product development activities related to industrial X-ray inspection systems. The role involves conducting product demonstrations, installations, customer training, and technical evaluations while ensuring alignment with non-destructive testing standards. The specialist works closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to optimize product applications, provide technical expertise, and support the development and improvement of imaging inspection solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Support the sales team with product-related and application-related topics, including application training.
• Conduct product demonstrations for international customers and support sales activities at trade fairs.
• Perform system installations and deliver customer training.
• Create training materials and conduct training programs for partners and end customers in Germany and internationally.
• Conduct trials, tests, and analyses for product optimization.
• Create, execute, and document software and field tests.
• Conduct test series in accordance with NDT-specific standards or customer requirements.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of user manuals and service documentation.
• Provide technical support in service areas related to technology and applications.
• Support development and product management teams with technical expertise.

Qualifications:

• Completed technical training or a technical degree, ideally with experience in imaging and X-ray systems.
• Several years of experience in industrial X-ray technology.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing standards, particularly RT-D, with NDT Level II or higher certification.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of network and system configuration within Microsoft operating system environments.
• Strong affinity for software.
• Excellent written English skills; additional foreign languages are an advantage.
• Several years of experience in roles involving direct customer interaction.
• Independent working style with a strong customer focus.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.
