Position Summary:
MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking UT Level II Technicians to support nondestructive testing operations in a shop environment. The role involves conducting ultrasonic testing inspections across a variety of industries including Aerospace, FAA, Construction, Oil & Gas manufacturing, and the Department of Defense. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, adaptability, and a commitment to safety and quality while working as part of a growing team with opportunities for future career advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasonic testing inspections in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and analyze inspection information effectively.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in both positive and negative situations.
- Prepare and present numerical and written inspection data accurately.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling inspection or company information.
- Plan and organize work activities while prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Adapt to changes in work environments and manage competing demands or unexpected events.
- Follow instructions, respond to management direction, and seek feedback to improve performance.
- Ensure inspection work demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness while monitoring work quality.
- Actively promote safety procedures and properly use equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
- Level II Ultrasonic Testing Technician with a minimum of 900 documented hours.
- Experience or prior certification as an NDE Level II technician with documented experience hours in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A or NAS 410 standards.
- Aerospace experience considered a major plus.
- Positive attitude and ability to work professionally with fellow employees.
Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Adequate speech and hearing capability to communicate effectively.
- Adequate vision and observational ability to conduct inspections.
- Ability to work in a professional manner with coworkers.
- Ability to work in a plant or shop environment with elevated noise levels due to inspection equipment and forklift operations.
- Ability to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department.
