Position Summary:

ATS is seeking full-time NDT Level II Technicians to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. As an NDT Level II Technician, you will be responsible for conducting examinations of materials using established procedures, codes, standards, and specifications. Your expertise will help ensure safety and compliance in various industrial environments.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Perform examinations of materials following established procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the methods for which you are qualified and assist in the on-the-job training (OJT) and guidance of trainees.
  • Collaborate with department managers and clients to define the scope of work and prioritize tasks to meet customer expectations.
  • Prepare written instructions and effectively organize and report examination results.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team, supporting team members as needed.
  • Perform other job-related tasks assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Hold NDT Level II certification and meet the minimum requirements for an NDT Level II Technician. Provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s).
  • Possess a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments and customers to report issues and solve problems.
  • All Applicants Require the Following:
  • Willingness and ability to learn and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection.
  • Perform tasks at elevated heights using scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, and man-baskets.
  • Work in confined spaces, which may involve crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
  • Work in and around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Handle radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, and film-developing chemicals.
  • Work extended shifts, up to 12 hours per day, 7 days per week, and travel for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry loads of up to 100 pounds.
