Position Summary:
The NDT Level II Technician is responsible for performing non-destructive testing inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) methods. The role requires expertise in Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL), P&ID interpretation, and ISO sketching. This is a full-time position involving 100% travel throughout the United States and operates on a rotational schedule of three weeks on and one week off. The technician supports the Mechanical Integrity team and is responsible for delivering accurate inspections while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Mechanical Integrity team in inspection and testing activities.
- Conduct non-destructive testing of components and materials in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, procedures, and equipment requirements.
- Perform inspections using Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, and Penetrant Testing methods.
- Select, prepare, load, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment.
- Identify material defects using appropriate testing techniques.
- Complete inspection documentation and work orders accurately and within required timelines.
- Drive company vehicles while maintaining a safe driving record.
- Provide instructions to assigned assistants and ensure the safety of the inspection team.
- Perform general cleaning and minor maintenance of company vehicles.
- Routinely inspect equipment and maintain work and shop areas in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certifications and Licensure
- Valid driver’s license.
- Insurability through PROtect, LLC insurance carrier.
- Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- Certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
- Certification in Penetrant Testing (PT).
- TWIC Card required.
Work Experience:
- Demonstrated NDT skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Experience and ability to perform P&ID walkdowns.
- Experience and ability to create ISO sketches.

- Work Schedule and Travel
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the United States.
- Ability to work a rotational schedule of three weeks on and one week off.
- Ability to work extended shifts of up to 16 hours per day.
- Ability to respond to short-notice call-outs and remain on-site for extended travel assignments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds on uneven terrain.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 150 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in extreme hot and cold environments.
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, electrical components, and chemical exposures.
- Must meet weight restrictions required for safety harness use.
