Position Summary:
- The Level II NDT Technician is responsible for setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, performing inspections, and interpreting and evaluating inspection results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and approved procedures.
- The technician is expected to understand the scope and limitations of the NDT method being used and carry out assigned responsibilities accurately. The role also includes verifying equipment, accessories, and consumables before use and preparing inspection reports for client submission.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
- Interpret and evaluate NDT results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Demonstrate thorough familiarity with the scope and limitations of the NDT method being used.
- Exercise assigned responsibilities in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Verify that all equipment, accessories, and consumables to be used have valid calibration or conformity certificates.
- Ensure equipment, accessories, and consumables are appropriate for use according to approved procedures.
- Perform verification and calibration of instrument characteristics before conducting NDT.
- Prepare reports detailing inspection findings.
- Ensure inspection results conform to applicable standards or specifications before submitting them to the client.
