NDT Technician

Position Summary:-

MISTRAS Group SAS is recruiting NDT Inspectors specializing in Penetrant Testing (PT) and/or Magnetic Testing (MT) to strengthen its teams and support the development of its activities.

Depending on their experience, certifications, and training, the NDT Inspector will perform non-destructive testing assignments for clients in maintenance and manufacturing using Magnetic Testing and Penetrant Testing methods.

The role will involve technical services at client sites across various industries, including petrochemical, naval, wind energy, and manufacturing/workshop environments. All activities will be performed in accordance with established quality and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:-

• Perform NDT inspections in maintenance and manufacturing using Magnetic Testing and Penetrant Testing methods.
• Manage NDT equipment and testing materials.
• Manage test and intervention documentation.
• Prepare technical reports and result records.
• Perform technical services at client sites across different industry sectors.
• Carry out inspections in accordance with quality and safety procedures.

Develop additional NDT competencies in new inspection methods as opportunities arise, including:

• Phased Array
• TOFD
• Guided Waves
• IRIS
• Eddy Current Testing
• Remote Field Testing
• ACFM
• MFL
• Acoustic Emission
• Leak Testing

Qualifications:-

• Technical education or training.
• Initial experience in performing NDT inspections, approximately 2 years.
• Preferably one or more COFREND Level 2 certifications in PT and/or MT.
• Strong learning and development capabilities.
• High level of rigor and sense of responsibility.
• Good written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good command of office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A rope-access qualification such as IRATA, CASTC, or CQP would be an additional advantage.

Requirements:-

• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control, as specified by the job poster.
• COFREND PT2 or MT2 certification.
• Willingness and availability to travel throughout France.
• Valid driving licence (Category B).
• Technical training and initial experience in NDT inspection.
