NDT Technician

Position Summary:

• MISTRAS Group SAS is recruiting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspectors specializing in Penetrant Testing (PT) and/or Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) as part of the expansion of its teams and activities in France.
• Depending on their experience, certifications, and training, the NDT Inspector will perform NDT activities for maintenance and manufacturing using Magnetic Particle Testing and Penetrant Testing. The role involves working at customer sites across different industries, including petrochemicals, naval, wind energy, and manufacturing/workshop environments.
• The position requires travel throughout France and involves carrying out technical services while following the company's quality and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform NDT inspections for maintenance and manufacturing activities using:
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
• Penetrant Testing (PT)
• Manage inspection equipment and testing documentation.
• Manage intervention-related documents.
• Prepare technical reports and result records.
• Perform technical services at customer sites.
• Work across different sectors, including petrochemical, naval, wind energy, and manufacturing/workshop environments.
• Follow applicable quality and safety procedures.

Develop additional competencies in new inspection methods as opportunities arise, including:

• Phased Array
• TOFD
• Guided Waves
• IRIS
• Eddy Current Testing
• Remote Field
• ACFM
• MFL
• Acoustic Emission
• Leak Testing

Qualifications:

• Technical education or training.
• Approximately two years of initial experience performing NDT inspections.
• Preferably one or more COFREND Level 2 certifications in PT and/or MT.
• Strong learning and development capabilities.
• High level of rigor and sense of responsibility.
• Good writing skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Cordist training such as IRATA, CASTC, or CQP is an additional advantage.
• More than two years of experience in Quality Assurance, as specified by the job poster.

Requirements:

• COFREND PT2 or MT2 certification.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Willingness and availability to travel throughout France.
• Availability for assignments at customer sites.
