Position Summary:
The Junior NDT Inspector supports non-destructive testing activities under supervision to evaluate materials, components, and structures without causing damage. The role focuses on assisting in inspection activities, learning NDT procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The position supports inspection operations across industries including oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, and industrial services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing non-destructive testing inspections using methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT).
- Support senior inspectors during inspection activities and site work.
- Assist in preparing basic inspection reports and documentation under supervision.
- Help set up, calibrate, and maintain NDT equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company quality policies at all times.
- Learn and apply relevant inspection codes, standards, and procedures.
- Report observed defects or irregularities to senior inspectors or supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Technical Diploma (preferred).
- NDT Level I certification or Trainee status preferred.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with less than two (2) years of experience.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and inspection procedures is an advantage.
Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to work under supervision in industrial environments.
- Ability to work on-site and participate in field assignments based on project needs.
