NDT Inspector 2

Position Summary

Oceaneering is currently seeking an experienced NDT Inspector 2 to support its Crane, Lifting, and NDT operations in Mongstad, Norway. The individual in this role will be responsible for carrying out a range of non-destructive testing tasks, producing inspection reports, and supporting clients and internal teams with technical expertise. The position plays a key role in ensuring inspection quality and upholding safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts NDT inspections in accordance with EN ISO 9712 certification requirements and Oceaneering procedures.
• Acts as a technical resource for customers and internal stakeholders, offering professional guidance and support.
• Produces and submits accurate technical reports detailing inspection findings.
• Reviews, evaluates, and documents results from NDT activities.
• Assists in the development and refinement of work procedures to enhance inspection efficiency and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• Holds Level 2 certification in accordance with EN ISO 9712 (PCN or NORDTEST) in the following methods:
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
• Penetrant Testing (PT)
• Visual Testing (VT)
• Demonstrates proficiency in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
• Has competent computer skills and experience in documentation and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possesses Level 2 certification in one or more of the following methods:
• Radiographic Testing (RT)
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
• Eddy Current Testing (ET)
• Holds a valid Radiation Protection Certificate.
• Holds a vocational trade certificate, ideally in Sheet Metal, Welding, or NDT.
