Position Summary:
The NDT Engineer is responsible for conducting and supporting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Semi-Destructive Testing (SDT), and load testing activities on structural elements and buildings. The role involves carrying out inspections, distress mapping, maintaining testing records and reference materials, and ensuring compliance with quality management and HSE requirements. The position also requires knowledge of construction chemicals and strengthening materials used in structural assessment and rehabilitation projects.
Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) as per established procedures.
- Assist in conducting Semi-Destructive Testing (SDT).
- Assist in conducting load tests on structural members and slabs.
- Conduct NDT inspections with the support of assistants.
- Perform distress mapping of buildings and structures.
- Maintain standard reference materials and related records.
- Ensure implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) within the area of responsibility.
- Adhere to corporate standards, including the Code of Ethics, company values, corporate identity, policies, and procedures.
- Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Responsibilities
- Comply with BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.
- Follow company HSE policies, procedures, guidelines, and applicable local legal requirements.
- Take responsibility for personal health and safety as well as that of colleagues and others.
- Immediately report incidents, unsafe work practices, unsafe conditions, or HSE concerns to the immediate line manager.
- Share opportunities for improvement related to HSE performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory laws, regulations, and Group HSSE policies and procedures.
- Support the establishment, implementation, monitoring, and review of the HSSE Management System in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Promptly report any abnormalities or incidents related to Health, Security, Safety, and Environment.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
Requirements:
Technical Requirements:
- Knowledge of NDT and Semi-Destructive Testing (SDT).
- Knowledge of construction chemicals and strengthening materials is preferred.

- Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to quickly understand and assess technical issues.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
