Position Summary;-
TEAM, Inc. is seeking an entry-level NDT Assistant to support certified NDT technicians in delivering nondestructive testing services at various client sites and locations. The position provides an opportunity to develop a career in asset integrity and inspection while supporting safety, operational excellence, and inspection activities.
The NDT Assistant will support testing assignments, equipment preparation, documentation, radiation safety practices, and general field operations in accordance with TEAM and client procedures.
Responsibilities:-
- Assist certified NDT technicians in setting up and performing inspections using UT, MT, PT, RT, and other NDT methods.
- Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for testing assignments.
- Support radiation safety practices and help secure work areas for radiographic testing when applicable.
- Transport equipment to and from job sites while maintaining safe handling and inventory control.
- Clean and maintain tools and work areas.
- Complete field reports, timesheets, and other required documentation as directed.
- Follow safety rules, client site protocols, and TEAM's Life Critical Expectations.
- Perform general labor duties related to rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.
Qualifications:-
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
- Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
- Willingness to travel and work in environments typically found in Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Power, Municipality, Aerospace, and other settings.
- Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
- Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in NDT, construction, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with basic NDT methods and terminology.
- Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.
Requirements:-
- Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Sufficient mobility to maneuver in standard, refinery, or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms through ladders and stairwells when performing field duties.
- Sufficient speech and hearing or other communication capabilities to communicate effectively.
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation to perform required investigations.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to perform routine office duties.
- Sufficient mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask with effective communication skills.
Work Conditions:-
- Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
- Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment.
- Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Work in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment for assigned tasks.
- Work may involve more than one job site in a day and exposure to changing climates.
- Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
- Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
