NDT Assistant

Position Summary:

The NDT Assistant supports certified technicians by helping perform nondestructive tests, equipment calibrations, and evaluations in accordance with written instructions and established procedures. This role is responsible for setting up test equipment, assisting radiographers during inspections, recording results, and providing hands-on support throughout NDT operations. The assistant contributes to quality and safety efforts while gaining experience toward future certification and technical development.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate nondestructive testing equipment
• Assist radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment
• Support radiographers in conducting inspections to detect defects or verify quality
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation
• Carry equipment and assist in performing NDT procedures and field operations
• Perform additional tasks as directed by management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some college coursework preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must meet Trustworthy & Reliable requirements through background verification
• Must meet company driving standards for operating company vehicles
