Position Summary:-

TEAM, Inc. is seeking an entry-level NDT Assistant to support certified technicians in delivering nondestructive testing services at various client sites and locations. The position provides an opportunity to develop a career in asset integrity and inspection while supporting safety, operational excellence, and TEAM’s inspection and testing operations.

The NDT Assistant supports certified NDT technicians with inspection preparation and execution, equipment handling, documentation, radiation safety practices where applicable, and general field operations. The position may involve work across Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Power, Municipality, Aerospace, and other industrial environments.

Responsibilities:-

  • Assist certified NDT technicians in setting up and performing inspections using UT, MT, PT, RT, and other NDT methods in accordance with TEAM and client procedures.
  • Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for testing assignments.
  • Support radiation safety practices and help secure work areas for radiographic testing, where applicable.
  • Transport equipment to and from job sites while maintaining safe handling and inventory control.
  • Ensure tools and work areas are cleaned and maintained.
  • Complete field reports, timesheets, and other documentation as directed.
  • Follow all safety rules, client site protocols, and TEAM's Life Critical Expectations.
  • Perform general labor duties related to rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned.

Qualifications:-

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in NDT, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with basic NDT methods and terminology.
  • Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.

Requirements:-

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
  • Willingness to travel and work in environments typically found in Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Power, Municipality, Aerospace, and other settings.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in standard, refinery, or plant environments and access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells, except when performing non-field duties.
  • Sufficient speech, hearing, vision, or other communication capabilities to perform assigned duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to perform routine office duties.
  • Ability to maintain focus and multitask with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to wear safety equipment required by the safety department for personal protection.

Work Conditions:-

  • The position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
  • The position involves interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
  • Work may take place in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • The position may involve working at more than one job site in a day and tolerating climate changes.
  • Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
  • The position requires willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.
  • Work may involve heights, confined spaces, and various environmental conditions.
