NDT Assistant

Position Summary:

MISTRAS Alaska is seeking Non-Destructive Testing Trainees to support Level II and Level III technicians in performing inspections. Candidates must have completed a 40-hour Radiation Safety course. This role involves rotational shifts of either 21 days on / 21 days off or 14 days on / 14 days off, with 12-hour daily shifts on the North Slope of Alaska.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completion of 40-hour Radiation Safety Course (required).
• NDT training and on-the-job training (OJT) in UT, RT, PT, MT, VT per ASNT SNT-TC-1A preferred but not required.
• Current IRRSP or state card preferred but not required.
• Current Level I or higher Rope Access Certification (IRATA), or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Routinely lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work in extreme climates, including subzero temperatures, for extended periods.
• Work in cramped or confined spaces when required.
