Entry Level NDT Assistant

Position Summary:

The Entry Level NDT Assistant supports nondestructive testing operations by assisting in equipment setup, calibration, and inspection activities. The role involves working under the supervision of Radiographers to perform NDT procedures, record inspection results, and support evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations in accordance with written instructions. This position is an embedded role, providing consistent on-site support for inspection activities.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and utilize nondestructive testing equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
• Record inspection results accurately.
• Assist in performing NDT procedures, including carrying equipment and supporting field operations.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college education preferred.
• Technical background desired.

Requirements:

• Must meet requirements to be certified as Trustworthy and Reliable in accordance with federal and state regulations, based on a thorough background check.
• Motor vehicle driving record must meet company standards to operate company vehicles.
• Must be able to pass hair follicle testing, alcohol screening, and background checks as required by the client.
