NDT Assistant

Position Summary

Acuren is seeking NDT Assistants to support operations in Bellingham, Washington. The NDT Assistant will assist Radiographers and Level II technicians in performing calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations to determine acceptance or rejection of materials based on written instructions. The role involves supporting inspections, carrying equipment, recording results, and performing related tasks as directed by management. Candidates residing in Whatcom or Skagit County are preferred due to the nature of the position.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up and utilize nondestructive test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers with calibration of NDT equipment.
• Support Radiographers in conducting inspections to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects).
• Record and document inspection results.
• Assist in performing NDT procedures and handling equipment and tools as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

• Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.
• Additional Requirements
• Must meet Trustworthy & Reliable (T&R) requirements in compliance with federal and state regulations through a detailed background check.
• Motor vehicle driving record must meet company standards for operating company vehicles.
