NDT Assistant

Position Summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking an entry-level NDT Assistant to support certified technicians in conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) across a range of industrial applications. This hands-on role is designed for individuals pursuing NDT certifications, offering practical field experience while assisting with inspections to detect corrosion, defects, or other structural issues in accordance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist certified Technicians and Sr. Technicians during NDT inspections
• Support inspection procedures involving various NDT methods under supervision
• Learn and apply safety procedures in accordance with company and client policies
• Handle and maintain NDT equipment and materials
• Study and work toward obtaining formal NDT certifications
• Perform other duties as directed to support inspection operations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills and computer literacy (Microsoft Word proficiency preferred)
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate clearly in English
• Willingness to travel (0–75% travel possible)
• Ability to handle chemicals safely and follow detailed instructions

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor work in plant, shop, and industrial environments
• Exposure to loud machinery and variable weather conditions
• Required to wear proper PPE as specified by safety policies
• May work at multiple sites in a single day

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to climb ladders and access elevated platforms
• Capable of walking, standing, bending, and performing physical tasks for extended periods
• Strong manual dexterity and communication abilities
• Mental focus to handle multiple tasks in dynamic environments
