Position Summary:

The NDT Advanced Services Operator plays a frontline role in delivering industrial inspections using in-field robotic products across power plants, oil and gas refineries, paper mills, and other industrial environments throughout North America. This position is responsible for operating robotic inspection equipment, ensuring data integrity, meeting customer expectations, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality requirements. When not in the field, the role supports shop-based activities, including robot maintenance, professional development, and training of newer technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety policies in both field and shop environments and identify potential safety hazards.
  • Operate and oversee robotic inspection equipment and ensure inspection data integrity in industrial environments.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective communication and proper job execution.
  • Collect and relay customer and product feedback to support improvement of service quality and scope.
  • Complete administrative tasks including expense reports, time sheets, and field-related documentation.
  • Participate in the training and development of NDT professionals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical details related to company service offerings and tools.
  • Maintain compliance with all customer-required background checks and drug screening requirements.
  • Use office time efficiently between field assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Level II PAUT certification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the downstream oil and gas industry.
  • Strong reporting and documentation experience.
  • Experience with Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT).
  • Experience with Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a lead technician role preferred.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to represent the company professionally and enthusiastically at customer sites.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time and up to 90% during peak periods.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the role.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid TWIC card.
  • Ability to work in multiple environments including machine shops and field locations involving OSHA-confined spaces, work at heights, and varying weather conditions such as heat, rain, and cold.
