Position Summary

Bureau Veritas Certification is currently seeking a qualified Inspector with a strong focus on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for the inspection of pressure equipment and dangerous goods containers. The role involves executing advanced inspection techniques, including NDT methods, and supporting clients across regulated industries such as chemical processing, transport, and manufacturing. Ideal candidates will possess an engineering background with hands-on experience in pressure systems and welded structures inspection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on welded structures, pressure equipment, and container systems, utilizing standard techniques in accordance with relevant codes.
  • Conduct inspections of dangerous goods containers as well as pressure vessels, pipes, assemblies, and system components.
  • Oversee and verify pressure and leak tests, along with functional and performance tests in field and plant settings.
  • Review technical documentation, inspection criteria, and prepare comprehensive inspection reports.
  • Support expert activities in compliance with European and international standards such as 2014/68/EU (PED), 2010/35/EU (TPED), ADR/RID, and IMDG Code, following internal qualification and training.

Key Requirements

  • Completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or a similar technical field
  • Hands-on experience or technical knowledge in NDT methods (e.g., UT, PT, MT, VT)
  • Additional certification or qualification as a Welding Engineer is a strong advantage
  • Understanding of inspection standards for pressure equipment and dangerous goods (PED, TPED, ADR/RID)
  • Proficiency in technical English, both written and spoken
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage work independently and in a structured manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented mindset
