NDE Trainee

Position Summary

TEAM Inc. is seeking motivated individuals for the position of Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Trainee. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to learn hands-on in the field of NDT (Nondestructive Testing), working alongside certified Technicians and Senior Technicians. As an NDE Trainee, you will assist in performing inspections aimed at identifying defects, corrosion, or other detrimental conditions across industrial equipment and infrastructure.

This role is ideal for candidates eager to build a career in industrial inspection and asset integrity services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Technicians or Sr. Technicians during various NDT inspections
• Learn and assist in calibrating instruments and operating NDT equipment
• Adhere to all company and customer safety protocols and site-specific requirements
• Participate in on-the-job training and study toward obtaining NDT certifications
• Perform general duties as assigned in field and shop environments
• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and client representatives
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Understanding of basic math and measurements
• Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Word
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Willingness to travel (up to 75%) including periodic out-of-town assignments
• Ability to handle industrial chemicals and follow proper safety protocols
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately

Work Conditions

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a variety of industrial plant environments
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and machinery
• Must be comfortable wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• May work at multiple job sites in a single day
• Must be adaptable to schedule changes and varying weather conditions

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Capable of walking, standing, and climbing for extended periods
• Manual dexterity and mobility to perform work in confined spaces and elevated areas
• Strong focus, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in dynamic environments
• Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
