Position Summary
T.D. Williamson is seeking a Level II NDE Technician to perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), GPS surveying, and related field tasks to support pipeline integrity inspection services. This role involves locating pipeline defects and performing in-ditch assessments with minimal supervision. The position requires extensive travel across the United States and strong expertise in UT, MT, PT, and Phased Array (PA) methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform NDT tasks using UT, MT, PT, and PA methods in support of pipeline integrity services.
- Use NDT and GPS equipment to locate and assess pipeline defects.
- Assist with maintenance of NDT, GPS, pipeline cleaning, and tracking equipment.
- Complete required service and daily reports for executed tasks.
- Maintain an experience time log to support NDT certification requirements.
- Submit weekly expense and time-sheet reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain DOT Operator Qualification tasks and meet quarterly TDW Pure Safety training requirements for regulated pipeline systems.
Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ASNT Level II qualification in UT, MT, and PT is required.
- Phased Array (PA) experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to travel 65–80% across the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Capable of lifting and carrying light to heavy objects.
- Proficient in the use of basic power and hand tools.
- Familiarity with PC computer systems and electronic testing equipment.
- Basic understanding of pipeline alignment sheets and GPS coordinate systems.
