Position Summary:
TEAM, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated Apprentice Nondestructive Testing Technician to support certified Technicians and Senior Technicians in conducting inspections across various NDT methods. The Apprentice Technician will play a key role in assisting with field inspections, learning industry-standard NDT techniques, and progressing toward certification while gaining valuable hands-on experience. This role is ideal for individuals looking to launch a career in the NDT field with one of the industry’s leading service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support certified NDT Technicians and Sr. Technicians during inspections that detect corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions.
- Assist in setting up, calibrating, and operating inspection equipment under direct supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform duties as assigned while maintaining focus on learning and skill development.
- Participate in training and study toward obtaining NDT certifications.
- Comply with TEAM’s Core Values and maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment.
- Follow instructions and complete tasks as directed by supervising technicians on-site.
Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 75% as needed.
- Comfortable working with and handling industrial chemicals safely.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions including indoors, outdoors, and around loud machinery.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and to maneuver in confined and elevated spaces (including climbing ladders and stairs).
- Must be able to wear all required safety gear.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic understanding of math and measurements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and general computer operations.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English fluently.
- Strong desire to learn NDT methods and pursue certification.
