Multi-Cert NDT Level II Technician

Position Summary:

Acuren is recruiting a Multi-Cert NDT Level II Technician to support operations in Rochester, Michigan. The position is a callout/travel position and requires Level II certification in any combination of Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Computed Radiography (CR), and Digital Radiography (DR).

The technician is responsible for setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, conducting inspections, evaluating results, interpreting inspection readings, organizing test results, and performing specialized inspections.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities and defects using NDT inspection methods.
• Establish techniques for the proper examination of objects under inspection while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards.
• Evaluate inspection results.
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• Instruct and supervise others when required.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college is preferred.
• Level II certification in any combination of RT, MT, PT, UT, CR, and DR.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Experience in report writing.
• Ability to support a callout/travel position in Rochester, Michigan.
