Position Summary

Acuren is recruiting Multi-Cert NDT Level II Technicians to support callout-based operations in Auburn, Maine, with field travel (up to 25%) into New Castle, Delaware and surrounding areas. The role requires versatility across multiple nondestructive testing methods and the ability to work safely and effectively in varied industrial environments—including fabrication shops, petrochemical facilities, refineries, and process plants. Technicians will set up equipment, perform inspections, interpret results, prepare reports, and may supervise or instruct others as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Conduct inspections to verify quality or detect discontinuities using applicable NDT methods.
  • Establish examination techniques and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria per governing specifications/standards; evaluate results.
  • Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital displays, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Perform specialized inspections as required.
  • Instruct and supervise others when assigned.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Certified Level II in any combination of: RT / MT / PT / UTT / VT / PMI.
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment.
  • Experience in report writing.
