NDT Technician

Position Summary:

MISTRAS Group SAS is seeking NDT Inspectors specializing in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and/or Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) to support the expansion of its operations in France. The role involves performing Non-Destructive Testing assignments in both maintenance and manufacturing environments, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will manage inspection equipment, maintain testing documentation, prepare technical reports, and deliver inspection services across various industrial sectors. This position also offers opportunities to develop expertise in advanced NDT methods.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Non-Destructive Testing assignments using Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and/or Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) methods.
• Conduct inspections in maintenance and manufacturing environments.
• Manage inspection equipment and ensure proper operation during testing activities.
• Maintain test documentation, intervention records, and inspection-related paperwork.
• Prepare technical reports and official results certificates.
• Deliver inspection services at client sites in accordance with company quality and safety procedures.
• Work across multiple industrial sectors, including petrochemicals, marine, wind energy, manufacturing, and workshop environments.
• Adhere to all applicable quality, safety, and operational requirements.
• Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge in advanced inspection methods such as Phased Array, TOFD, Guided Waves, IRIS, Eddy Current, Far-Field Testing, ACFM, MFL, Acoustic Emission, and Leak Testing.

Qualifications:

• Technical background with initial experience in performing Non-Destructive Testing inspections.
• Approximately 2 years of experience in NDT inspections.
• Preferably holds one or more COFREND Level 2 certifications in:
• Penetrant Testing (PT)
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
• Certification as a rope access technician (IRATA, CASTC, or CQP) is considered a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in standard office software, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
• Strong written communication skills.
• High sense of responsibility and professionalism.

Requirements:

• COFREND PT2 or MT2 certification.
• Valid Class B driver's license (mandatory).
• Flexibility and availability to travel throughout France.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Ability to perform technical services at client locations across France.
