Position Summary
MISTRAS Group, Inc. is currently seeking qualified Level II Radiographic Testing (RT) NDT Technicians for full-time positions in Rosemount, Minnesota. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians to join a respected industry leader, working in a dynamic plant environment with a strong emphasis on safety, integrity, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
- Perform non-destructive testing using appropriate RT techniques.
- Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Document inspection results and complete all required job-related forms.
- Guide and oversee the work of Level I personnel and trainees.
- Apply knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications.
- Independently identify and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Clearly communicate findings both verbally and in written reports.
- Work outdoors and in plant environments, including elevated or confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an NDT technical program in accordance with SNT-TC-1A.
- Prior certification as a Level II technician (RT); additional certifications in UT, MT, or PT are a plus.
- Sufficient documented On-the-Job Training (OJT) hours to support Level II certification.
- Must provide proof of prior classroom training, certifications, and experience.
- Industrial Radiographer Certification Card and 40-hour Radiation Safety Course are highly preferred (and required for radiographers).
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive pay range:
- Level II RT (CR): $26–$35/hr (depending on experience and credentials)
- Weld Quality RT/RTR Inspector II: $38–$40/hr (must meet certifiable weld quality standards)

Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and navigate confined spaces.
- Capable of wearing all necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Work may be required at multiple job sites daily and may involve occasional travel.
- Field work is performed outdoors in varied weather conditions and near operating machinery with elevated noise levels.
