Position Summary:

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking full-time Level II RT Technicians for work in Ohio. This role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Technicians will perform nondestructive testing using radiographic techniques in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety in inspection operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Set up and calibrate radiographic testing equipment.
  • Conduct inspections using appropriate NDT techniques.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results.
  • Demonstrate full understanding of the scope and limitations of certified methods.
  • Direct the work of trainees and Level I personnel.
  • Apply knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Obtain, analyze, and present data skillfully and accurately.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education and Certifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC-1A for UT, RT, MT, or PT.
    • Prior certification as a Level II NDE technician with at least 1 year of experience, or Level I with sufficient field hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC-1A.
    • Industrial Radiographer’s Certification Card preferred (required for Radiographers).
    • Completion of a 40-hour Radiation Safety Course preferred (required for Radiographers).

Work Conditions:

  • Field duties require both indoor and outdoor work in plant environments.
  • Frequent interaction with crew members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Exposure to high-noise levels around production machinery.
  • Physical ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
  • Work may involve multiple job sites in a single day with varying climate conditions.
  • Periodic travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs frequently.
  • Clear speech and hearing to effectively communicate.
  • Adequate vision to perform inspections.
  • Manual dexterity to complete office and field tasks.
  • Mobility to access elevated platforms, ladders, and stairwells in refinery or plant environments.
  • Physical reflexes and endurance to perform inspections and travel as needed.
