Level II RT, MT, PT, UTT Technicians

Position Summary:

MISTRAS is seeking Level II RT, MT, PT, and UTT Technicians for full-time, nested positions in the Conroe, Texas area. The technician will perform piping and vessel inspections in a laydown yard (fabrication shop) environment using radiographic testing methods and other applicable NDT techniques. The role involves inspection execution, data evaluation, reporting, equipment calibration, and providing guidance to trainees and Level I personnel. Additional Computed Radiography (CR) experience or certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform piping and vessel inspections in a laydown yard (fabrication shop) using Radiographic Testing (RT).
• Report inspection findings in accordance with customer requirements and applicable procedures.
• Train and support RT Assistants during inspection activities.
• Run radiographic film and evaluate film quality in accordance with specified procedures.
• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Maintain familiarity with the scope and limitations of qualified NDT methods.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to trainees and NDT Level I personnel.
• Organize and document NDT test results.
• Generate, organize, and evaluate NDT data for disposition.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Level II certifications in RT, MT, PT, and UTT.
• Additional Computed Radiography (CR) experience or certifications preferred.
• Thorough understanding of applicable NDT methods, codes, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to interpret inspection data and report findings accurately.
• Experience training and mentoring RT Assistants, trainees, or NDT Level I personnel.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Valid state card.
• Ability to pass DISA background screening.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
