Position Overview
TEAM Inc. is seeking a Level II Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician with certification and hands-on experience in Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and/or Penetrant Testing (PT). This role involves independently performing inspections to detect corrosion, defects, and other detrimental conditions in accordance with written procedures, as well as interpreting results and communicating them to customers.
Essential Responsibilities
- Adhere to TEAM’s safety policies, customer standards, and applicable regulations
- Perform NDT inspections independently for certified methods (RT, MT, PT)
- Interpret and report inspection results accurately, maintaining proper documentation
- Instruct and supervise apprentice or entry-level personnel as needed
- Assist Sr. Technicians and perform duties assigned by site supervisors
- Maintain current NDT certifications
- Exhibit TEAM’s Core Values and “Seven Critical Choices” in daily tasks
- Continuously study and train to gain new NDT certifications
- Handle and use chemicals safely as part of the testing process
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of NDT experience as a certified technician in at least 2 methods
- Level II certification in one or more methods: RT, MT, PT (UT, ET a plus)
- Familiarity with basic math, Microsoft Word, and computerized equipment
- Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Willingness to travel (up to 75%)
Work Conditions
- Work is performed at client sites and may involve both indoor and outdoor conditions
- Frequent interaction with crew, supervisors, and client representatives
- Work may occur around machinery in noisy industrial environments
- Must be able to tolerate climate changes and frequent travel between sites
- Must wear proper PPE and follow all safety protocols
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Ability to walk, climb stairs/ladders, and access elevated platforms
- Clear vision and hearing (with or without accommodation)
- Dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and computers
- Strong focus, multitasking ability, and professional communication skills
