Position Summary:

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a Level II PT/UTT Technician to independently perform nondestructive testing inspections utilizing various techniques to detect corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions in accordance with written criteria. The technician will be responsible for performing inspections, interpreting results, maintaining documentation, and communicating processes, procedures, and findings to customers. This role involves both field and branch-based work, with significant travel requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to company, customer, and legal safety standards.
  • Perform assigned duties while upholding TEAM’s Core Values and Seven Critical Choices.
  • Assist Senior Technicians and provide instruction to apprentice-level personnel.
  • Study to gain additional NDT certifications while building hands-on experience.
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the Senior Technician.
  • Supervise apprentice-level personnel on job sites when required.
  • Maintain current NDT certifications.
  • Perform inspections in certified methods, interpret results, and prepare inspection documentation.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer-based equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least two methods.
  • Previous Level II certification in at least one method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET) preferred.
  • Ability to handle chemicals safely.
  • Travel requirement: 0–75%.
  • Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Work Conditions:

  • Position based out of a branch or site location.
  • Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment.
  • Regular interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
  • Work performed around production machinery in high-noise environments.
  • Use of PPE required at all times.
  • Work may involve multiple job sites in a single day, with tolerance to climate variations required.
  • Periodic out-of-town travel may be necessary.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
  • Clear communication abilities (speech, hearing, and observation) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Manual dexterity for office and field-related tasks.
  • Physical mobility to navigate refinery and plant environments, including climbing ladders and stairwells.
  • Strong multitasking and focus capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
