Level II Phased Array Technician

Position Summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking an experienced Level II Phased Array Technician to conduct independent inspections utilizing advanced NDT techniques such as Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (UTPA), Computed Radiography (CR), and Digital Radiography (DR). The technician will interpret results, generate reports, and ensure compliance with established safety and procedural standards. The role also involves supervision of apprentices and clear communication with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced NDT inspections in accordance with written procedures
• Interpret and report inspection findings accurately and promptly
• Supervise and guide apprentices at job sites
• Maintain current certifications and comply with company procedures
• Adhere to safety and legal regulations on-site
• Use Microsoft Word and computerized tools for reporting and documentation
• Travel to various job sites as required, potentially including multiple sites in one day

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician
• Level II certification in at least one advanced NDT method: UTPA, CR, DR, or ET
• Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Word
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate clearly in English
• Willingness to travel up to 75% for job assignments

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Fieldwork includes both indoor and outdoor environments at industrial sites
• Exposure to production machinery, noise, and varying climate conditions
• Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and access elevated platforms
• Must wear required personal protective equipment at all times
• May be required to work in multiple locations within a single day
• Requires strong concentration, multitasking, and communication abilities
