Position Summary
TEAM, Inc. is seeking an experienced Level II Phased Array Technician to independently perform inspections using advanced NDT techniques, including Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Computed Radiography (CR), and Digital Radiography (DR). The technician will identify corrosion, defects, and structural anomalies per applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. This position involves supervising apprentices, interpreting results, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and quality protocols.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain a safe, compliant work environment in accordance with company/customer safety protocols and legal regulations
- Adhere to TEAM’s Core Values and Seven Critical Choices
- Conduct advanced NDT inspections in certified methods (e.g., PAUT, CR, DR, ET)
- Interpret, document, and report inspection results with accuracy and professionalism
- Supervise and mentor apprentice technicians on-site
- Maintain and renew NDT certifications as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the NDT field, with proficiency in at least one advanced NDT method
- Level II Certification in at least one of the following: PAUT, CR, DR, or ET
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ability to use computerized NDT equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Willingness to travel up to 75% as required
Work Conditions
- Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors in industrial plant environments
- Frequent interaction with supervisors, clients, and NDT crew members
- Exposure to loud machinery and environmental conditions including heat, cold, and humidity
- Must wear appropriate PPE as required by site or company policy
- May work at multiple job sites daily, with occasional overnight travel
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Ability to walk, climb ladders/stairs, and access elevated platforms
- Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity (with or without reasonable accommodations)
- Ability to maintain concentration in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
