Position Summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a Level II Phased Array Technician to independently perform inspections using advanced Nondestructive Testing (NDT) techniques such as Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (UTPA), Computed Radiography (CR), and Digital Radiography (DR). The technician is responsible for detecting corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions based on specific written criteria, interpreting and reporting inspection results, and effectively communicating findings and procedures to clients.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform inspections utilizing certified advanced NDT methods (UTPA, CR, DR, ET).
  • Interpret indications and document inspection results in compliance with company standards.
  • Supervise and mentor apprentice-level personnel on job sites.
  • Maintain advanced NDT certifications.
  • Promote and adhere to TEAM’s Core Values and Seven Critical Choices.
  • Comply with all Company/Customer safety standards and legal regulations.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns proactively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least one advanced NDT method
  • Certification to Level II in one or more of the following:
    • Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (UTPA)
    • Computed Radiography (CR)
    • Digital Radiography (DR)
    • Eddy Current Testing (ET)
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and computer-based equipment
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and documentation

Work Conditions

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often in industrial plant environments
  • May involve exposure to high noise levels and production machinery
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as specified by the safety department
  • May be assigned to multiple job sites in a single day
  • Must tolerate varying weather conditions
  • Occasional travel out of town may be necessary

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Able to walk, climb, and access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
  • Clear communication abilities (speech and hearing), with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Adequate vision (close, distance, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus)
  • Manual dexterity to perform inspection and office tasks
  • Capacity to multitask and maintain sustained focus in field conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
