Position Summary:
TEAM, Inc. is seeking a Level II Phased Array Technician to independently perform inspections utilizing advanced NDT techniques such as Phased Array UT, CR, and DR. The technician will identify corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions in accordance with specific written criteria, interpret inspection results, and prepare reports. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively explain processes, procedures, and results to customers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to company and customer safety standards, legal regulations, and reporting hazards.
- Perform duties in line with TEAM’s Core Values and Seven Critical Choices.
- Supervise apprentices on the job site.
- Maintain advanced NDT certifications.
- Conduct NDT inspections for which certified.
- Interpret and report inspection results.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least one advanced NDT method.
- Certified to Level II in a minimum of one of the following methods: UTPA, CR, DR, ET.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and able to use computerized equipment.
- Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel 0–75%.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
Work Conditions:
- Position is based out of a branch or site location.
- Indoor and outdoor work required in plant environments.
- Frequent interaction with crew members, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Exposure to production machinery and high noise levels.
- Must wear required safety equipment.
- May work at multiple job sites daily with varying climate conditions.
- Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Capability to walk and climb as required in field duties.
- Clear speech and hearing for effective communication.
- Adequate vision or accommodations to perform inspections.
- Manual dexterity for routine office and field tasks.
- Personal mobility sufficient for refinery or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms.
- Ability to focus, multitask effectively, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
