Position Summary
MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking experienced Level II NDT Technicians to join our Auburn, MA team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of nondestructive testing (NDT) inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform NDT inspections using approved methods and techniques to evaluate materials and components for defects or discontinuities.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment as required by specific procedures.
- Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Accurately document inspection findings and maintain detailed records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and co-workers regarding project status and results.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
- Travel to client sites as needed, including occasional overnight assignments.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required.
- Proof of previous Level I/II certifications, OJT hours, and classroom training.
- Ability to perform a wide range of inspection tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering specifications preferred.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
Essential Physical Functions
- Work performed in outdoor plant/refinery environments.
- Exposure to loud machinery and changing climate conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds regularly.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to move between multiple job sites as required.
