Position Summary:
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by following Company/Customer safety standards, legal regulations, and reporting potential hazards.
- Perform assigned duties while upholding TEAM’s Core Values.
- Supervise Apprentices at job sites.
- Maintain advanced NDT certifications.
- Perform advanced NDT inspections within certified methods.
- Interpret inspection indications and prepare reports in line with company requirements.
- Write or approve procedures for advanced NDT when required.
- Train and qualify Apprentices and Technicians.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least two methods.
- Certified to Level II in at least two methods (UTPA, CR, DR, ET).
- Optical Gas Imaging Certification.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and computerized equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
- Travel requirement: 0–75%.
- Ability to follow instructions.
Work Conditions:
- Field duties include indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment.
- Interaction with crew members, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Work around production machinery in areas with extreme noise levels.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment.
- Possible assignment to multiple job sites in a single day with varying climate conditions.
- Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
- Sufficient speech, hearing, and communication ability (with or without accommodation).
- Adequate vision or observation ability (with or without accommodation).
- Manual dexterity to perform routine office or inspection-related tasks.
- Physical mobility and reflexes to access work environments including elevated platforms via ladders and stairs.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
Additional Job Information:
- Anticipated compensation: $52,000 – $72,800 per year plus benefits.
- Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and location (California disclosure per Cal. Lab. Code 432.3).
